The Hotel Porto Santa Maria is located right by the ocean, where the most important naval station of the island once stood, in the heart of the historical centre of Funchal and close to the street that gave it its name, one of the oldest streets in the city. The location of the hotel, in a lovely garden setting, gives guests the best of both worlds; the atmosphere of a resort with easy access to Funchal´s seafront promenade and the city centre, where most of the island’s museums can be found.
